Donor Giving: The Good, the Bad, and the in Perpetuity

Join us for our September monthly meeting.  We will hear speaker Kay Walther, Partner at Blazek & Vetterling share her knowledge on endowments.

In the spirit of #HoustonStrong, we will offer member pricing for all attendees.

Kay Walther is an audit partner with the firm of Blazek & Vetterling, a women-owned business and the leading provider of audit and tax services to nonprofit organizations in the Houston area.  Blazek & Vetterling operates with the philosophy that its personnel will establish an individual balance of professional, personal, spiritual, and community pursuits.  The firm serves more than 400 nonprofit audit and tax clients and has experienced consistent growth into a firm with approximately 50 employees.  Kay Walther joined Blazek & Vetterling in 1994 and became a partner of the firm in 2002.  She heads the firm’s single audit practice and serves as the firm’s designated audit partner to the AICPA Government Audit Quality Center.

Kay is a speaker on technical accounting and management subjects for nonprofits and is a lecturer for The Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at Rice University programs.  She has presented seminars for the University of Houston Nonprofit Executive Series, the United Way of Greater Houston and its National Financial Management Forum, University of Texas Nonprofit Law Institute, Houston Chapter of Certified Public Accountants and the American Law Institute Continuing Education.
